The inspiration for the entire #shoplocal series started when Team LFID saw one of our favorite Northern Virginia neighbors, Middle Kingdom, displaying in the Design Legacy showroom at the High Point Spring Market back in April.

Manassas-based duo Bo Jia and Alison Alten were "inspired by a long and distinguished history of design and craftsmanship in Chinese porcelain" while "contributing a fresh and invigorating style to the genre". What they and the designers and artisans they work with have created is exactly that. The cheerful colors and creative silhouettes of Middle Kingdom's pieces pair together to create exciting new looks that add a fun embellishment to any space.

Another long-time friend of Laura Fox Interior Design is Lisa Tureson of Studio Artistica.
