The "world-renowned authority on color" has a history of picking bright, bold, vibrant colors for their annual color selection. They certainly did not stray from that pattern this year with their selection of Ultra Violet for 2018, a color that "communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking" and "suggests the mysteries of the cosmos".

Ultra Violet speaks to creativity, individuality, and limitless possibilities. Recently Laura embraced the color in the design for a bright, creative, nine year-old girl's bedroom. This remarkable young lady is a musician with a love of space. A mural of a galaxy covering one wall served as the backdrop for our young client to be inspired and embrace her individuality within this space. Meanwhile the white and pastel accents helped to temper the vibrancy and make it a peaceful, cozy space for her.

While Ultra Violet can be a huge statement-maker in a room there are also many great ways that it can be incorporated for an avant-garde pop here and there. Some great artwork, a cozy throw, or some beautiful flowers can make a galaxy of difference.
